When it comes to our most intimate apparel, proper care and maintenance are essential to preserving their beauty, longevity, and comfort. Nothing is worse than metal wires popping out and lace losing its color. One valuable tool in caring for your delicate lingerie is a lingerie wash bag. In this blog post, we will guide you through the process of taking care of your lingerie:

1. Sorting and Preparing:

Before you start washing your lingerie, it’s important to sort your garments by color. Separating dark, light, and whites can help prevent color bleeding or staining.

2. Hand Washing:

While some lingerie items may have care instructions that permit machine washing, hand washing is generally recommended for delicate pieces. Fill a basin or sink with lukewarm water and add a gentle lingerie detergent. Submerge your lingerie and gently swish them around for a few minutes. 3. Introducing Lingerie Wash Bags:

Lingerie wash bags are mesh or fabric bags designed specifically to protect your delicate undergarments during machine washing. These were an absolute game changer for me! 4. Washing with cold water!

Set your washing machine to the delicate or hand wash cycle, with cold or lukewarm water. Avoid using hot water, as it can damage delicate fabrics.

5. Drying:

To dry your lingerie, lay them flat on a clean, dry towel or hang them on a drying rack. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources, as they can fade colors or damage delicate fabrics. If you’re impatient like me, throw them in the dryer (in the lingerie wash bag) on a low temp.
